Faber's Piano Adventures Is America's Most Popular Piano Curriculum

You know your piano students best, what they enjoy most, what piano methods reap the greatest benefit, and which piano curriculums are the most effective. With a multitude available on the market, no piano piano curriculumcurriculum is more effective or popular than Faber's Piano Adventures.

Randall and Nancy Faber are the husband/wife team behind this traditional piano curriculum and expertly employ their experience in the music field. Nancy Faber is an award winning pianist and composer and her husband Randall is both a renowned pianist and lecturer. They aim for the Piano Adventures method to:

  • Present musical skills at a developmentally appropriate pace.
  • Contain original lesson music, even in the emerging levels.
  • Focus both on the artistry and technique required to learn to play piano well.
  • Include additional music representing a wide range of abilities and genres.
  • Enhance both the cognitive and creative development of the student.

This piano curriculum includes eight levels, each containing method books in Lesson, Theory, Performance, Technique & Artistry, Popular Repertoire, and Christmas Music. There are additional pieces of the curriculum available that support the core method books.  You can purchase accompaniments, available on CDs and in MIDI bundles, for all of the Lesson and Performance books. These recordings give students the opportunity to play along with piano techniquefull accompaniment.  There is also a series of books, PreTime to BigTime Piano Supplemental Library, that offer corresponding songs for each of the curriculum's eight levels.  Letting students choose from these additional songs provides further practice and exposure to technical skills and musical genres.

Faber's Piano Adventures is a piano curriculum that will keep both instructor and student engaged and excited.  This method will help develop both the artistry and technique of your students, while also exposing them to a wide range of musical styles and genres.
